Jagoda Kwiatkowska is an interdisciplinary artist, based in Warsaw (Poland), born in 1991, Jelenia Góra (Poland). Deeply rooted in exploring mental health, identity, and the post-traumatic spaces we inhabit, shaped by historical trauma, responding to both society and individual crises—whether they stem from climate change, war, or personal struggle.

Graduate of Miroslaw Balka Studio of Spatial Activities (2018) and Grzegorz Kowalski Audiovisual Studio (2016) at Media Art Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Knowledge about Culture at Warsaw University (2016).

Rather than adhering to a single medium, I allow the themes I explore to dictate the form. My practice is grounded in performance, sound, and visual art, with a strong focus on sensory engagement. I seek to create works that offer solace while provoking deeper introspection on how we, as individuals and communities, can heal and redefine our narratives in response to the world’s challenges.

Since 2018, I have been collaborating with Julia Golachowska and Anna Shimomura as part of the Kolektyw Łaski (Grace Collective) feminist art group. Our work explores themes of history, memory, gender, feminism, ecology, and identity. We engage with language and voice, using well-known songs as tools for social change. In our first project, The New Patriotic Songbook, we rewrote the lyrics of patriotic songs, replacing misogynistic, racist, classist, and pro-war fragments with feminist, pacifist, inclusive, and community-empowering messages. Since 2018, our projects has been showcased at over 30 exhibitions and events worldwide, and is proud to be a part of the Secondary Archives.
